Proceedings of your business trip to Argentina

Day 1

– Flight to Buenos Aires.
– Meal and night in the plane.

Day 2

– Arrival of the participants and welcome by the guide.
– Departure for the visit of the city center of Buenos Aires.
– Breakfast break in a cafe in San Telmo.
– Visit of the city centre: avenue 9 de Julio where the Obelisk and the Colón Theatre are located; avenue Corrientes with its many theatres, cinemas, bookshops and restaurants; and avenue de Mayo with its Spanish influenced buildings. Stop at Mayo Square. (Option: couple of dancers during the city tour).
– In the late morning, departure for the docks of Puerto Madero.
– Lunch at the restaurant.
– Visit of the Boca neighbourhood: the first port of the city, which was the first refuge for the majority of immigrants.- Transfert à l’hôtel et installation.
– Dinner at the restaurant.
– Night at the hotel.

Day 3

– Argentinian breakfast.
– Departure for the city of Tigre located about 40 km (24 miles) from Buenos Aires.
– Non-private navigation on the delta: The delta is sprinkled with islands and peninsulas, some of which are only accessible by boat, hence the name sometimes given to the city from “Venice of Buenos Aires”.
– Lunch at the restaurant.
– Back to Buenos Aires.
– Stopover in the capital for a privatized tango class: you will have the chance to discover this Argentinean art with a professional dancer from the National Tango Academy.
– Free time to have a drink at the hotel.
– Tango show dinner at the restaurant.
– Night at the hotel.

Day 4

– Breakfast at the hotel.
– Transfer to the airport and off to El Calafate.
– Welcome at the arrival.
– Lunch in the city.
Excursion by 4×4 to the balcony of Calafate. Full 15 km (9 miles) tour, starting from El Calafate and starting by climbing the eastern side of Huilyche Mountain, up to 850 metres above sea level, to reach the “Balcon de Calafate”. Stop for a few minutes to admire the panoramic view of the city of El Calafate. After a short descent, we arrive at “la terrasse des Condors”. Another stop to enjoy the view and the majestic flight of the condors, then descent along the north face of Huilyche Mountain to return to the city.
– Back to the centre of El Calafate.
– Installation at the hotel.
– Dinner at the restaurant.
– Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

– Argentinian breakfast.
– Discover of the famous glacier of Perito Moreno. In the “Los Glaciares” National Park there is a remarkable natural phenomenon: vast expanses of eternal snow and ice cover come parts of the Andes Moutains and pour into the lakes.
– Observation of the glacier from the many footbridges in front of the Perito Moreno.
– Lunch during the day.
– Ride to a typical farm in Patagonia: Located 20km (12 miles) from Calafate and enjoy a panoramis view over the Laago Argentino. When you arrive to get warm, you will have a snack (coffee, tea, hot chocolate and homemade cookies).
– Discovery of the sheepdogs training practice and gathering of the sheeps.
– Walking to the lagoon of “Los Pajaros” to observe the many migratory bird colonies, including the very rare black-necked swans (subject to reservation since they are rare…).
Barbecue dinner with Patagonian Sheep (but also beef, chicken and salads). Folklore show at the farm.
– Transfer to the hotel and night.

Day 6

– Argentinian Breakfast.
– Transfer to the little port of Puerto Banderas located 50km (31 miles) from El Calafate.
– Boarding on a catamaran for a unique cruise on the Lago Argentino. Rio de Hielos is a spectacular navigation in the heart of continental ice. Once on board you will navigate to the canal of  Upsala glacier where you can find a spectacular ice shelf. Then navigation on the Spegazzini Canal, where you can observe the Seco Glacier to reach finally one of the most beautiful galcier, the Spegazzini glacier.
– Lunch box.
– Back to the pier and trip back to El Calafate.
– Discovery of the Glaciarium, Museo del Hielo Patagonico, the fist museum of Patagonian ice. With a unique view over the Argentino lake and the National Park Glacier, this cultural and scientific centre has a central room reproducing the lines and size of a glacier and an impressive tunnel that allows you to understand the anatomy of a glacier.
– Dinner at the restaurant.
– Transfer to the hotel and night.

Day 7

– Breakfast at the hotel.
– Free morning for shopping.
– Transfer to the airport and off to Buenos Aires (snack on board).
– The French guide welcomes you once you arrive.
– Transfer to the hotel and free time.
Dinner at the restaurant.
– Back to the hotel and night.

Day 8

– Argantinian breakfast.
– Visit of the Palermo neighbourhood.
– Lunch at the restaurant.
– Visit of the Recoleta: From shining avenues to superb buildings, bright green parks and pleasant calm.
– Visit of Recoleta’s cemetery. There are generations of public figures, soldiers, ministers and presidents. Nearby you can visit the Nuestra Señora Del Pilar church, built in 1732 in a colonial baroque style.
– Optional: 2 hours bike ride to discover the neighbourhood of Puerto Madero.
– Transfer to the hotel to get dressed for the special tango night.
– Transfer to a typical cabaret for a special tango dinner (drinks included).
– Argantinian wine tasting with an œonologist.
– Night at the hotel.

Day 9

– Argantinian breakfast.
– Departure for a day of Polo in a farm. The farm is located in Canuelas, about 30 minutes from Buenos Aires. It is the home of Adolfo Cambiasso and one of the farm with the oldest polo school.
– Arrival at the farm. Reception with the famous “empanadas” and wine.
Introduction to Polo and demonstration of Polo by the players. After the introduction, the participants will be able to play Polo.
– Lunch in the farm’s garden.
– Polo session.
– Transfer to the international airport.
– Meal and night on board.
